eBay Express: new eBay service live
Last week eBay.com – the company never stops searching new ways to expand the business – officially launched its new fixed-price marketplace: eBay Express
What possibilities do eBay sellers get from this new service? Well, your listings may automatically appear on eBay Express if you meet certain requirements, such as:
• Your eBay public profile shows feedback of 100 or more – at least 98% of it positive.
• List your items in Fixed Price or Store Inventory Format.
• Make sure you include
- a photo,
- the item condition
- shipping costs
• Maintain a public feedback profile
• Support your listings with a PayPal Premier or PayPal Business account
• Ensure your PayPal account settings are set to ship to unconfirmed addresses or make sale-by-sale decisions (“Ask me for unconfirmed addresses”)
• Be registered as a U.S. registered seller, or Canadian registered seller shipping from the U.S.
• Allow shoppers to pay by single, combined payments for their purchases.
• Use eBay checkout or the new checkout integration API (for 3rd party order processing)
• Items must be located in the US
• Individual items must not exceed $10,000.00
That’s it. If you meet all above requirements, but not sure if your listings appear on eBay Express do this test:
Paste the link into your browser. Replace “youruserid” with your own eBay.com user ID to determine if your listings qualify.
Summary: new service cost is zero; you do not need to invest a cent to test this opportunity. So this one fact is sufficient to feel good about the new eBay initiative. Will it help with the sales? We will see.
